About Us

(l-r) Larry and Jeannie White, Elsie and David Reichenbacher

Two by Four Band
Jeannie and Elsie have been playing music together since 2004, when they met on music team for a religious retreat. Since then they have worked together on many events. They pulled their husbands in for their first gig in 2017. Since they have all retired, they have devoted regular time to developing their music and harmonies.

Jeannie White
Jeannie started playing guitar and singing in grade school. She abandoned it for many years, and picked it up again when Larry encouraged her after their marriage in 1998. She led the praise band “Cross Tide” at First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi for about 10 years, and has volunteered her time for many years playing for religious retreats before organizing the Two By Four Band. She has been an upholstery business owner, and a tax preparer. She is also a visual artist, doing painted portraits and stained glass among other things.

Elsie Reichenbacher
Elsie graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a major in music, and has been making music all of her life. She has been a member of the Cathedral Pontifical Chorale since 1993 and in 2000 started playing guitar and singing in various praise bands here in town, where she started performing with Jeannie White. After retiring from a successful career in the insurance industry, she and her new husband David started performing with Jeannie and her husband Larry for the pure joy of making music.  Besides music, Elsie’s other passion is mosaic art, and has had her own studio since 2007.

Larry White
Larry started playing the drum as an adult, when he joined the “Water’s Edge Pipe and Drum” bagpipe band, playing the bass drum. He since joined the Veteran’s Band, of which he is still a member, playing snare drum. He picked up the Bodhran (Irish Drum) when he and Jeannie joined the Corpus Christi Irish Sessions group. He is a retired chemical engineer.

David Reichenbacher
David has been singing and playing guitar since he was a child.  After playing and recording with several bands in Philadelphia, he moved to Corpus Christi in 2012 and sought out musicians and venues where he could share his music.  He met his wife Elsie, who is a musician and mosaic artist, and introduced him to musicians who liked his kind of folk rock style.  Elsie, Jeannie and Larry White, and David joined forces to form 2X4.  Two couples, four friends. Sharing their blend of folk, rock, pop and Irish music with audiences of all ages.
